Barn project
Period build

Using 200 year old bricks MTBC was asked to build a Georgian style facade for this steel framed barn in Leicestershire. With the reclaimed bricks and using lime mortar we built deep bull nose segmental arches for the entrances and with some careful cutting created a gauged brickwork style bull's eye window complete with keystones.Cant bricks were used for the next window on the arch and reveals. The pediment included dentil courses and a large brick cornice. A simple brick apron has been used to hold the hopper for the roof valley water.
